  • Job Summary
    • The Campus Clinician should be a certified School Psychologist, School Counselor or Social Worker that will play a vital role in providing mental health support and counseling services to students participating in our summer program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology or counseling, with experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings. This is a temporary position for the duration of the summer program. 

      The Campus Clinician will be;
    • Initiate opportunities to collaborate and problem-solve with High Jump Staff regarding student concerns
    • Maintain organized documentation and records of student check-ins.
    • Prioritize high-risk situations (e.g., crisis), and communicate with appropriate individuals in a timely manner (e.g., Case Manager, Parent).
    • Provide case-by-case services ranging from individual counseling, identification and assessment, interventions, crisis intervention, and support for navigating referrals for community services.  
    • Organize educational opportunities (e.g., groups, lessons, discussions) surrounding topics that will develop competencies to serve the student in all contexts.
    • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies for supporting students' mental health and well-being.
    • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff on best practices for promoting positive mental health in the classroom.

  • Location: Staff at High Jump will work in person at 1 of 3 campuses

Qualifications:
  • Current licensure or certification as a school counselor, clinical psychologist, or mental health counselor.
  • Experience providing counseling services to children and adolescents in educational settings.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health disorders, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to school counseling and mental health services.
  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Experience with trauma-informed approaches to counseling and support.
  • Must be 18 years of age
